Being a Good Neighbor
South County Renewal Living will be a small, quiet, home-like residence in a Gilroy neighborhood. We are committed to being a respectful, responsible, and responsive neighbor.
Our Commitments
Clear house guidelines that residents agree to, including quiet hours and expectations for respecting neighbors and the surrounding community.
Responsible program staffing appropriate to the needs of the home and its residents.
A direct point of contact for neighbor questions or concerns, with a prompt response.
Ongoing communication with the City and appropriate local community organizations as the program develops and operates.
Questions Neighbors Often Ask
Who lives in the home?
South County Renewal Living will serve individual adults recovering after a hospital stay or other healthcare setting who need a safe place to continue recovering. Some residents may later transition into short-term transitional housing while working toward a stable next home. Everyone who stays at South County Renewal Living will enter through an established referral and admission process based on the program's eligibility criteria.
Is this a hospital or treatment facility?
No. South County Renewal Living is a small, supportive residential home—not a hospital or inpatient treatment facility. Residents receive medical, behavioral health, and other healthcare services from their own providers and participating community providers.
What are the expectations for residents?
Residents will be expected to follow house guidelines, respect neighbors and the property, and contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful residential environment.
Who do I contact with a concern?
Neighbors will have a direct way to contact CRLF with questions or concerns about the home. Contact details will be shared with nearby neighbors before the program opens. We are committed to listening, responding appropriately, and addressing concerns as they arise.
